Institutional Effectiveness
Institutional Effectiveness has institution-wide responsibility for collecting, analyzing and disseminating knowledge which helps academic managers and college faculty make data-driven decisions which continually move the institution forward towards achieving its mission.
The College’s five-year 战略 Plan: Renewal, Change, and Innovation 2019-2023 identifies the ENDs statements that describe what success looks like for the College. Core Indicators are measures that evaluate the College’s progress in achieving our ENDs. The Core Indicators are part of each 年度计划 and are regularly reviewed by the faculty, staff, and the 校董会. Each Core Indicator is reported in a Monitoring Report once per year.
Institutional Effectiveness's responsibilities include:
- Collects and analyzes the data needed to update the Core Indicators. The Core Indicators are a set of detailed statistically driven metrics showing whether the college has succeeded in achieving the Ends listed in the 年度计划. On a revolving schedule, each Core Indicator is updated one time per year and the results are posted in the appropriate Monitoring Report.
- Gathers and examines the data needed for ongoing oversight of key College processes including admissions, 招生, 和毕业典礼. Data information reports and summaries are prepared and distributed on a regular schedule to internal staff and the College 校董会.
- Responds to ad hoc information requests from both within the college and outside constituencies. Performs detailed research and study of the college's diverse student body and program offerings as requested.
- Spearheads course evaluations where students give input on course content and instruction effectiveness.
- Conducts surveys of graduates after graduation. If students chose to provide employer information, they are contacted and their feedback is solicited.
